Lhasa Tsetang Tibet Cultural Tour - 5 Days
Tour code: LTTCT-TB-004
Lhasa Tsetang Tibet Cultural TourOne of the most popular tours in Tibet – Tsetang Lhasa Cultural tour. Where the visits of the culturally rich Tsedang & the Lhasa is organized. Tsedang - located by Yarlung Valley, is the capital of Shannan Prefecture. It's reputed as "the cradle of Tibetan Civilization", mainly for two reasons: First, the mild weather and fertile land in Shannan gestated the great Tibet dynasty. Second, it's the birthplace of the first Tibetans who were said to be the offspring of a monkey and a demoness. So Tsedang literally means "monkey's playground". The main highlight of this tour is the visit of the Tibet’s first monastery – Samye with the history of over 1200 years and the Yumbu Lhakhang Palace. In Tibetan language, "Yumbu" means a female deer and "Lakhang"  means the holy palace. The Yumbu Lakhang is the first palace that was first built by Nyatri Tsenpo - the first Tibetan King at the beginning of the 2nd century according to the legend. Our visit ends with the exploration of the Lhasa city covering the scenic places including Potala Palace, Norbu Linkha, Drepung & Sera Monasteries.
